Cake Poker review

Cake Poker was launched back in 2005. A medium-size poker room, Cake poker has its very own poker network currently. The networks hosts rooms like Doyle’s room and it has become an excellent alternative for online poker operations looking to retain US traffic.
Cake Poker’s game selection is standard. They have all the usual games and no specials. Holdem, Omaha and Stud can be played there in pretty much every variant and betting structure. If you’re looking for Badugi or other such rarer variants, you won’t find them at Cake.

The software used by Cake Poker is obviously the battle-tested Cake software. While it may not b graphically dazzling, Cake’s software is a decent piece of online poker engineering. The avatars are all photo realistic, the table animations are good and everything is on par with what one may expect to find in a generic modern online poker room.
There are plenty of options, multi tabling is supported and the platform is stable and fast: what more could a beginner online poker player ask for? Some stiff action possibly, and that’s where Cake Poker falls a little short. Though it’s traffic is decent, it’s nothing out of the ordinary: it could use quite a bit of improvement.

The sign-up bonus offered by Cake Poker is a 110% match on players’ first deposits. The bonus money lands in players’ bonus accounts, from where it’ll have to be redeemed before it can be cashed out.
Players have to generate 166.6 FPPs for every bonus dollar to release the bonus. FPPs can be generated in real money cash games and tournaments. The bonus is released in $10 increments.
